The British weather has cooled, the days are seeming shorter and an additional group of international fashion shows has captured the world’s style areas, from fabulous New York to urban London. That’s right, October is surely here, and as usual, we have our trend seeking fingers on the proverbial pulse of designer fashion’s thumping heart. With our choice of UK and global designers ranging from the lovely iconic designer clothes houses (Lanvin, Balenciaga) to the coolest names (Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney) to the red-hot ones to watch (Christopher Kane, Erdem), it is no wonder designer fashion’s elite naturally confess that they don’t get their clothes from anywhere other than Matches!

This Autumn Winter season fashion is dramatically colourful, and we are obsessed with some of autumn’s breathtaking statement-making trends. Christopher Kane’s fiercely cool animal printed tees have been snapped up by the must have designer fashion pack, gracing front rows and the fashion pages of newspapers alike. The Kane tops are the loving partner to another key clothing trend at the moment – leggings – yip, this is the perfect time to flash those gorgeous limbs, and Freda, Sykes and of course Les Chiffoniers have all made some mega-sleek, incredible pairs. For the trend setter in you, there are thigh-high boots – these are the must have look of the season; Stella McCartney’s version are black, dramatic and utterly drop dead jaw dropping. These bold black leather boots look set to stay around, and we couldn’t be happier; the boots are an easy way to give even the simplest outfit a flash dose of on-trend sophistication.

Finally, this is definitely the Winter season to put your shoulders forward!
