How Hair Loss Affects a Person’s Self-Confidence

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Infrequently do we witness teens & young adults during their early twenties with chunks of hair gone from their heads. The majority of hair loss in men takes place in their 30’s and forties despite the fact it isn’t odd from men in their late 20’s to lose hair as well. The apprehension of aging is cringed among today’s community. Where aging was once a symbol of awareness and wisdom, it is presently essentially looked upon as if the older you are, the more uninteresting you become. All this is without doubt not TRUE in most cases. On the other hand, since this is how the media & modern society paint middle aged men & women, & losing hair is a symbol of getting older, it is no wonder that hair loss might well affect someone’s confidence.

TV shows repeatedly portray middle aged men with hair loss as the individuals most unlikely to succeed with getting dates, or being happy in general. The character George Costanza of NBC’s hit sitcom, Seinfeld, is one classic example of this. Costanza was in his late 30’s & endured classic male pattern hair loss. He quite often referred to his hair loss as one of his biggest excuses for never before succeeding at just about anything in life. Men & women alike both have a tendency to feel self conscious, particularly when it comes to the opposing sex. In our culture, a full, luscious, head of hair is acknowledged to be pretty, and make someone emerge more youthful and healthy.

Current technology is most helpful in curing hair loss. Advanced hair treatments are attainable to restore one’s hair & make it look completely normal as if you had never lost any hair to begin with. It is not essential in this day and age to have to settle with hair restoration. A person’s quality of life doesn’t have to be changed with low confidence when there are so numerous advanced hair restoration treatments to choose from. Whether a prescription drug, current treatment, follicle transplants, or laser therapy, there are loads of options that should fit any budgets.

Hair loss treatments are presently astonishingly popular and tried by both men and women. Folks have lost their hair due to illness and have found it is never to grow back can occasionally benefit from advanced scalp treatments. Even if people are not entirely losing hair, but experiencing from a receding hair line or their hair is thinning, they might benefit from an array of hair loss treatments. The days of depending on fake looking wigs and spray on hair are over. With so many selections of types of hair loss therapeutics, you no longer have to live life feeling any less confident than they did in their early twenties.

7 Destructive Habits of Incompetent People

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

WARNING! If you want to have a fantastic life, never engage
yourself in these 7 deadly habits that incompetent people do.

NUMBER 1 – They Think, Say, & Do Negative Things.

Yup. They see problems in every opportunity.

They complain that the sun is too hot. They cursed the rain
for ruining their plans for the day. They blame the wind
for ruining their hair.

They think that everyone is against them. They see the problems
but never the solutions.

Every little bit of difficulty is exaggerated to the point of
tragedy. They regard failures as catastrophes. They become
discouraged easily instead of learning from their mistakes.

They never seem to move forward because they’re always afraid
to come out of their comfort zones.

NUMBER 2 – They Act Before They Think.

They move based on instinst or impulse. If they see something
they like, they buy at once without any second thought.

Then they see something better. They regret & curse for not
able to take advantage of the bargain.

Then they spend & spend again until nothing’s left. They
don’t think about the future. What they’re after is the
pleasure they will experience at present.

They don’t think about the consequenses. Those who engage
in unsafe sex, criminality, and the like are included in
this group.

NUMBER 3 – They Talk Much More Than They Listen

They want to be the star of the show. So they always engage
in talks that would make them heroes, even to the point of
lying.

Oftentimes they are not aware that what they’re saying is not
sensible anymore.

When other people advise them, they close their ears because
they’re too proud to admit their mistakes.

In their mind they’re always correct. They reject suggestions
because that will make them feel inferior.

NUMBER 4 – They Give Up Easily

Successful people treat failures as stepping stones to success.

Incompetent ones call it quits upon recognizing the first signs
of failure.

At first, they may be excited to start an endeavor. But then
they lose interest fairly quickly, especially when they
encounter errors.

Then they go & search for a new one. Same story & same results.
Incompetent people don’t have the persistence to go on and
fulfill their dreams.

NUMBER 5 – They Try to Bring Others Down To Their Level

Incompetent people envy other successful individuals. Instead
of working hard to be like them, these incompetent ones spread
rumors and try every dirty trick to bring them down.

They could’ve asked these successful ones nicely. But no, they’re
too proud. They don’t want to ask advise. Moreover, they’re
too negative to accomplish anything.

NUMBER 6 – They Waste Their Time

They don’t know what to do next. They may just be contented on
eating, getting drunk, watching TV, or worse, staring at the
blank wall with no thoughts whatsoever to improve their lives.

It’s perfectly fine to enjoy once in a while. But time should be
managed efficiently in order to succeed. There should be a
proper balance between work & pleasure.

NUMBER 7 – They Take the Easy Way Out

If there are two roads to choose from, incompetent people would
choose the wider road with less rewards than the narrower road
with much better rewards at the end.

They don’t want any suffering or hardship. They want a good life.

What these people don’t know is that what you reap is what you
sow. Efforts & action will not go unnoticed.

If only they would be willing to sacrifice a little, they would
be much better off.

Successful people made it through trials & error. They never
give up. They are willing to do everything necessary to achieve
what they aspire for in life.

Panic Affliction Facts Show that Anxiety Is an Unnerving Medical Circumstance

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Due to our existence it means that we always have to get over life’s obstacles. It seems that the more we acquire technology and means to create things more rapidly, the more panic anxiety attacks increase. That is food for thought. Some might believe that advancement in technology would lead to easing the strain. Yet, anxiety and depression seem more commonplace now than when compared to the past. Chances are that in past times, people simply didn’t mention it. These days are different, we today talk about it openly. Fact is, as you flip through TV channels, it is almost certain that you have come across an ad for a medicine, which provides panic attacks help.

More and more humans are admitting to their troubles in this contemporary world of solutions. It might be merely public place aversion or a problem sleeping, scientists are always developing new ways to fix it. Receiving quite a bit of their attention is anxiety and natural depression. When I consider depression, I think of someone who has recently lost a loved one or a person who is handicapped in such a way that keeps them from living a normal life. This is not necessarily correct. Many individuals are weighed down by the burden of panic attacks and depressive disorder for other reasons. The fact is we often do not know the reasons. The food we consume could easily be a reason. Curiously, contentment with life is elusive to most people.

A topic that touches me, is teenagers. Anxiety and depressive disorder seems to be hitting them more than others these days. Acknowledged, being a teen is challenging in some aspects, and unbelievably simple in others. Some teens may claim that it is all distressing. Even I was a teen before. We certainly know much of what they are going through. However, natural depression was not part of my teenager experience. Who knows what has happened in the last ten years. Depression should not be a childhood experience. In fact, anxiety and depressive disorder should be much less prevalent than it is altogether.

Helping to Relieve Your Pain

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

If you have ever had back pain and felt that it will never go away? I have been at that point, and it was scaring me. Fortunately, I was able to connect with a Pain Management Specialist who was able to help with medications that reduced the pain and helped me sleep. It is amazing how much better you can deal with things if you have gotten a good night’s sleep. One of the best first steps is to get a good practitioner and learn back pain exercises that will help strengthen your core muscles. Then you can explore other alternatives if you wish

I have gone through a number of modalities to relieve my back pain, and the best one to start with is learning back pain exercises. I learned them from a certified physical therapist, and was also taught how to modify them for my physical limitations. Other modalities you can try is meeting with a pain management specialist and beginning a medication regime, learning exercises or techniques, such as self adjusting techniques, Pilates’, yoga, or Qi Qong . I know from personal experience that Qi Qong and Pilates for pain management helped me a great deal, as well as developing a walking regime.

Master Your Nerves and Have a Seat at the Poker Table, part 1

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

So you saw the World Series of Poker on ESPN the other day, and you told yourself it looked boring and wasn’t for you, and then two hours later you were still on the couch yelling at the screen about pre-flops and the river.

And now you want to play. Trouble is, the adrenaline has worn off from watching some schlub win half a million dollars with an A-2 bluff, and you realize you have no idea how the game works. Texas Holdem? Might as well be a Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Western. The river? Wasn’t that a Meryl Streep flick? Finding the nut? Are wesquirrels?!

It doesn’t have to be this way. There is skill involved in poker, no matter what your friends say, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get the basics under your belt. Hopefully these tips will give you the confidence you need to hit the felt and pile up a chip stack of your own. Not $500,000, of course, but a little something to get started.

First up, you have to remember that poker never plays out like it does in the movies. Matt Damon and Edward Norton made Holdem look fast and easy in Rounders, but that’s not how it works in the real world. Rule one is you don’t have to play every hand. If the hand you’re dealt (called the pocket cards) stinks, don’t be afraid to throw it away (that’s called “folding”). If you’re still having trouble, try playing only those hands that contain high cards at first, and folding the rest. Veteran players at the table will grumble at your cautiousness, but you might find your chip stack staying high and healthy this way, at least at first. Playing more doesn’t always mean winning more.

Next up, where are you sitting? Online poker and live events both feature round, oval affairs, and how you play a hand is influenced by the seat you’re in. This has nothing to do with the comfort of your backside, and everything to do with the Dealer. Where are they? (hint: find the seat with the “button” in front of it, which says “Dealer”) How many seats away? If there are a high number of seats, you can happily consider yourself in the “Late Position,” meaning you have the luxury of watching your opponents’ actions before making your own. If there are a small number of seats, you’re in the “Early Position”, and will be forced to act before most of your opponents. As you become more aware of your poker playing style, you’ll find that either position has its strengths and weaknesses.

OK, so you’re seated now. Take a look at those two facedown cards the Dealer tossed your way. Take a peek. Memorize what they are, because nothing says “newbie” like a someone who checks their cards ten times a hand, and look for part 2 of this tips and tricks beginner’s primer around the Net sometime soon.

Until next time!
